Dr. Yusupha Touray Bio

The Permanent Secretary holds a Ph.D in Public Administration, Master's degrees in Educational Planning and Management (EPM) and International Workforce Education and Development (IWED), also referred to as International Human Resource Development (IHRD), and a Bachelor's degree in Educational Management.

Prior to his appointment as Permanent Secretary in 2022, Dr Yusupha Touray served in the same Ministry as the Deputy Permanent Secretary, technical (2020 – 2022), Director of Planning, Budget and Policy Analysis (2014 – 2020), and Director of Planning and Research (2011 – 2014). Dr Yusupha Touray also lectured various courses at the University of The Gambia and taught at all levels of the Basic and Secondary Education subsystem of The Gambia.
